Considered one of Italy's great Bordeaux-style reds, Sassicaia has been produced since the late 1940s, but commercial quantities were not released intil the late-1960s. The vines that produce this "Super-Tuscan" were reputedly sourced from Chateau Lafite-Rothschild.
