This bottle is showing better than the one included in the vertical line-up last year. An attractive, conservative nose of blackberry, freshly rolled tobacco, undergrowth and a touch of leather. The full-bodied palate is nicely balanced with good acidity, perhaps straight-laced and unwilling to furnish the taster with an exciting vinous experience, but maintaining cohesion and vigour.
