Surprisingly opulent and outgoing for a Cabernet of its tender years, the latest Lewis Reserve is deep in fruit and fit with layer upon layer of wonderfully rich oak. If striking in its generosity, it is still on the tough and tannic side at the finish, yet here again intense and unrelenting fruit fights its way through the wine's imposing astringency and all but guarantees eight to ten years of spectacular development. *Two Stars*
