Reviewed June 2023Still very youthful and quite yeasty, this needs some aeration to open up, but the spectrum of fruit aromas goes right through the range of citrus and stone fruits, plus delicate notes of exotic fruit. Stunning concentration, racy acidity and wet-stone minerality on the incredibly focused palate. Literally breathtaking brilliance at the finish. This took more than two years to finish fermentation, but that long walk along a knife edge worked spectacularly well. *Top 10 Wines in the USA*

Grapes for this wine come from a particularly sandy block of the Lahoma vineyard on the southwest corner of Lake Seneca. The fermentation process begins with a maceration on the skins. It continues for two months at a very low temperature to deliver this lovely, expressive wine with silky floral notes and a ripe peachy fruit character. The feel is still very youthful, with an accent on the fruit, but it is evident that the wine has the substance and structure to age for years to come. (CC)
