Still tightly-wound in the nose, but so concentrated, energetic and expressive on the palate. Super-focused and super-mineral finish that doesn’t want to stop.

The 2023 Riesling Rüdesheimer Berg Schlossberg Grosses Gewächs opens with a kind of lemon-scented mountain air that also carries a sense of distant, cool, deep conifer forest. The palate is superbly clean-cut, very strait-laced and utterly concentrated. This is searingly bright but buffered. The 2023 is stone and citrus united in purity. (Bone-dry) (AK)

95 points, Fallstaff: "A fine floral nose, lemon blossom, also rose water. With air contact also "stony" flavours. The palate flows silkily and smooth, with a fine thread of acidity and a richness that is practically sugar-free. Powerfully tactile and mineral, with a terpene-influenced finish."
