2023 Fattoria Galardi "Terra Di Lavoro" Campania

The 2023 Terra di Lavoro is an understated beauty, with a perfumed and complex bouquet of crushed violets, geraniums, sweet smoke, sage and blackberries. It’s youthfully dense and tightly wrapped with nearly velvety textures, sleek red/black fruits and a slight citrus twang. Inner rose tones appear through the long and structured finale, where a bump of brisk acidity offsets grippy tannins and notes of red plum. This is a unique vintage for Terra di Lavoro: a cooler, rainy year, with a lower percentage of Piedirosso in the blend and less total production, due to the loss of 3.5 hectares to wild boars.
