2023 Domaine Rollin Père et Fils Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru

Here the wood is no longer subtle, indeed it's generous, though it stops short of dominating the mildly exotic nose of white peach, passion fruit and citrus confit aromas. The dense, opulent and palate soaking larger-scaled flavors do flash excellent power and punch on the stony and long if noticeably warm finale. This is clearly marked by the growing season and while it is not what I would describe as a typical CC, but much like the straight Perand villages, it seems to work anyway.
