Reviewed January 2025A new domaine parcel, the 2023 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champ Gain unfurls in the glass with aromas of pear and citrus fruit mingled with white flowers and hazelnuts. Medium to full-bodied, pillowy and succulent, it's seamless and elegant, with lively acids and a saline finish.
Notes
A 0.3 hectare plot of 70 year old vines directly above Folatières, fermented and raised in barrel on the lees for 18 to 20 months. The old vines give it more flesh than most Champ Gain, and our allocation is only three bottles.
