Reviewed January 2025Another old-vine cuvée produced from purchased fruit harvested by the Dugat-Py team, the 2023 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Referts delivers aromas of pear, orange oil, nutmeg, white flowers and buttered toast. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, it's more textural than the Champ Gain, with an unctuous core of fruit and a saline finish.
Notes
From a full hectare just below Les Combettes on the Meursault border, fruit purchased but farmed by the domaine, 10% new oak. Referts sits beside Meursault Charmes and drinks with the same distinct richness.
