Rosso di Montepulciano takes its name from the Tuscan hill town, not the Montepulciano grape grown elsewhere in Italy. Sangiovese, locally known as Prugnolo Gentile, anchors the denomination. Avignonesi’s 2024 Rosso offers a connection to this historic winegrowing area, which is also home to Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
