Reviewed December 2025Coming from 100% Pinot Noir vines, the 2021 Champagne Grand Cru Bouzy Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut is new from Laherte-Freres. A bright straw color with just a subtle tinge of copper, on the palate, the wine has a little touch of toast, imparting a briny richness with a saline component. Orange citrus oil and blackcurrants shine in this wine, which boasts a structured and compact richness. It also delivers bright acidity, richness of texture, and a fine mousse that adds to the salinity. Drink 2026-2046. (AF)

This expressive Champagne has aromas of sliced red apples, spiced pears, buttered toast and strawberry pastries. It’s ripe and compact, yet very fresh and dry at the same time. Retains finesse from this powerful village. The first bottling of this cuvee. 100% pinot noir vinified in barrels. 2.5 g/L dosage. Disgorged November 2024. Drink or hold. (CN)

The 2021 Blanc de Noirs Bouzy Grand Cru is vivid, layered and super expressive. Dried cherry, spice, chalk, mint and game are some of the many notes that grace this resonant, gracious 100% Pinot Noir Champagne. The 2021 really blossoms with a bit of time in the glass. This is an impressive debut. Dosage is 2.5 grams per liter. Disgorged: December 2024; multiple disgorgements throughout the year. (AG)
