The palate is broader shouldered, with dark, earthy richness and a long finish. It's only going to improve with another year, but it won't be released for at least that long, if not longer. (AF)

Exotic and perfumed, the 2020 Brunello di Montalcino Vigneti del Versante tempts the imagination with a zesty blend of crushed wild strawberries, roses and cedary spice elevated by a hint of tangerine. It is silken and refined, with tantalizing acidity and the softest textures imaginable, enveloping the senses with tart wild berry fruits and crisp mineral tones. Structured and long yet not forbidding, it leaves nuances of blackberry and sage with a slight citrus twang. Unbelievably gorgeous. (EG)
