Starting with a terrific nose of succulent red cherries and plump strawberries, this wine shows exuberance through and through. Nicely mid-weight on the palate, the crunchy tannins are gently amplified by the high-toned acidity. The oak is split between 25 percent new then once- and twice-used barrels, and the wine has easily digested it. This is lightness and power wrapped into "glou glou" packaging.
