The 2023 Pinot Noir Windy Hill Vineyard is the highest-elevation vineyard on the estate and the only site that's been replanted. An incredibly rocky site, the vines here are now 13 years old. The 2023 opens with a generous, complex bouquet that unfurls with floral and savory undertones. Accented by a higher proportion of stems than the other wines in the portfolio, the Windy Hill delivers notes of split pine, lavender and undergrowth. The suave, textural, mineral-drenched finish is a tiring of beauty. This is one of the more singular wines in the range. (BN)
