Meaning “Pearl of the Forest,” the 2023 Vermentino Perlato Del Bosco is entirely Vermentino. Coming from the Suvereto area, it’s influenced by the sea wind and volcanic soil. Raised entirely in stainless steel, it pours a silver straw color and is savory in its expression. Whereas Poggio Argentiera (which was tasted alongside this at the estate) is more tropical, this has a more Chablis-like style. The nose is savory with aromas of wet stone, fresh pear, fresh flowers, and a fresh leesy feel. Medium-bodied, it also has more depth to its more mineral texture and feels as though it has the ability to improve with age. Drink 2025-2032. (AF)

The 2023 Vermentino Perlato del Bosco is bright, vibrant and finely cut. Citrus and floral notes abound in this steely coastal white. Bracing minerality extends the saline finish. Drink it over the next year or two. (AG)
