2023 Bernabeleva "Navaherreros" Garnacha Sierra de Gredos

The 2023 Navaherreros Garnacha from Viñedos Bernabeleva is fairly ripe this year, coming in at 14.5 percent octane, but is still impeccably balanced. These vines are now more than ninety years of age. It delivers a very fine and complex aromatic constellation of raspberries, discreet spiced meat tones, a lovely base of soil, distant bonfire, lavender, roses and gentle brown spices in the upper register. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and beautifully transparent down to its soil, with a fine core of red fruit, tangy acids, buried tannins and excellent focus and balance on the long, complex and vibrant finish. This is truly stunning young Garnacha!
