Duckhorn's Oakville-appellated Cabernet Sauvignon spent 16 months ageing in French oak (65% new). It is positively inviting from the black-fruited nose, tinged with Oakville garrigue, a bit of bright earth and black truffle character, to the juicy, medium- to full-bodied palate. A gentle framing of tannin makes plenty of room for a plethora of juicy, vivid, delicious darkberry fruit tinged with notes of licorice, dark chocolate, and fine oak, displaying great equilibrium and depth.
