Note: from a parcel measuring .43 ha that was planted in 1969 and 1973. A cool and airy nose features notes of spicy Granny Smith apple, plenty of citrus and a whiff of quinine character. The delicious, racy and markedly stony flavors deliver solid length though there is a noticeable bitterness that is probably at the limit of what most palates will find appealing. To be fair, the bitterness may well fade with a few years of bottle aging for the moment, this isn't the best wine in the range.
