Reviewed January 2026Fresh lemon yellow. Riper and sturdier than the Macherelles, leaving a chance for the bouquet to grow in the glass. Some candied citrus skins. Plenty of energy, in its rather four-square style, but the fruit keeps extending across the palate to deliver a wine of impressive intensity. Drink from 2029-2033. Tasted Oct 2025.

Note: 50% from Les Bondues, 25% from Les Combes and the final 25% from Chenevottes proper. Smoky white orchard fruit aromas are enhanced by notes of cool lemon rind, crushed anise and a whiff of rosemary oil. There is fine volume to the delicious, punchy and fleshy yet refined medium weight flavors that exhibit excellent persistence on the clean, dry, balanced and lightly austere finale. This also could use better depth but that should just be a matter of exercising some patience.*Burghound Outstanding!*
