The 2024 Pinot Noir Garys' Vineyard is potent and brooding today. Chiseled tannins and compact, tense structure are the hallmarks. This is not nearly as showy as Garys’ can be in its youth, but that is both the hallmark of the best SLH Pinot Noirs in 2024 and also a likely positive sign for the future. Dark spice, licorice and cocoa powder season the finish. Give this time. 94+ (BN)

One of the region's most important and signature sites. The two Garys,(Pisoni and friends from highschool got together in 1997 and planted this site, it was difficult at that time to find a property here that we could purchase, a lot of the regional properties were large, and given to their children, We were able to get 50 out of a 400 acre property that we bought as a partnership. Pisoni wanted a cooler site, this wine is fleshy and ripe. Overt black berries, damson plums and warm baking spices. (CP)
