Reviewed July 2025The 2022 Etrusa Velia is a field blend of Zinfandel, Alicante Bouschet, Carignane, and Petite Sirah. In the glass, it displays a deep red color and offers a warming, spiced feel, with aromas of mocha, toasted baking spice, fig, and scorched earth. Full-bodied, juicy, and rounded, it retains some needed freshness in this warm vintage and is charming for near term drinking. (AF)

Established as an American Viticultural Area in 1983, the Russian River Valley is strongly influenced by cooling Pacific fog. Etrusca “Velia” 2022 is a California red blend bearing this celebrated appellation, connecting the bottling to one of the state’s most geographically distinctive winegrowing areas.
