2022 Theorem "Decree" Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon

Theorem Vineyards sits on a historic Diamond Mountain property near Calistoga first acquired in the late 1880s by Dr. Richard Beverly Cole, a prominent San Francisco surgeon and California Surgeon General. The Cole family established a working farm, built a Victorian home in 1889, and maintained the estate for decades before it changed hands in the mid-20th century. In the 1980s, the Graeser family planted a 10-acre vineyard and bonded winery, laying the groundwork for modern wine production. Kisha and Jason Itkin purchased the property in 2012 and founded Theorem Vineyards, undertaking an extensive restoration of the estate's historic structures and vineyards while preserving its architectural heritage. The winery farms estate vineyards on Diamond Mountain and also sources from its Moon Mountain District holdings, focusing primarily on mountain-grown Cabernet Sauvignon and other Bordeaux varieties. Winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown has overseen production since the winery's founding.
