Red and black fruits intermingle with masculine mineral notes, iodine, baking spices, leather, and dried, loamy earth in the 2023 Pinot Noir Clos Pepe Vineyard. Medium-bodied and concentrated, it offers ripe tannins, beautiful balance, and a great finish. This beautifully complex, classic wine from the Clos Pepe Vineyard should have 10-12 years of prime drinking.

The 2023 Pinot Noir Clos Pepe Vineyard opens with leather, sassafras and sweet cherries. Super-suave, velvety tannins and bright acids frame this supremely sensual wine. Here, too, Winemaker Scott Shapley managed to achieve great concentration without excess weight. Undeniably elegant. (BN)
