Reviewed December 2019This full-bodied wine shows a more serious side of Chenin Blanc, wrapping a rich texture around baked apple, vanilla and mineral flavors. It is nice and dry, mouthfilling and adds a touch of grippy tannin to cleanse the palate. An addition of 20% Verdejo was blended in. (JG)

An interesting blend of 80% Chenin Blanc and 20% Verdejo, the 2018 Sightline offers a juicy citrus, white flower, toasted bread, and chalky mineral-laced style as well as medium-bodied richness, plenty of mid-palate depth, and a dry finish. It's well done, with good acidity and balance, and will shine on the dinner table. I suspect it will also evolve gracefully for 7-8 years, if not longer.
