Wine Advocate
Review Date: 06/2026One of the finest wine produced by Reynald Delille, the 2025 Bandol Rosé is a compelling wine not to be missed. Wafting from the glass with aromas of red berries, pomegranate, spices and iodine, it's medium- to full-bodied, dense and tense, with a precise, seamless core of fruit framed by mineral acidity and a saline, perfumed character, concluding with a long, calcareous and ethereal finish. Notes
Founded in 1963 by Georges Delille, a Paris-trained sommelier turned vigneron, in Ollioules just east of Bandol. Georges spent a decade meticulously restoring the property - terracing hillsides, rebuilding the cellar, and replanting vineyards under the guidance of Bandol pioneer Lucien Peyraud. His son Reynald joined in 1980, and together they released Terrebrune's first vintage, named for the rich brown soils that define the estate. Reynald's wines stand apart for their freshness and minerality, a departure from the typical Bandol mold - no small feat given Mourvèdre makes up 85% of the blend. The thirty-hectare estate sits atop blue Trias limestone, farmed organically, with cooling Mediterranean breezes moderating the Provençal sun. The result: wines built for real aging potential, rosé included. The Terrebrune Rosé is a blend of 60% Mourvèdre, 20% Grenache and 20% Cinsault from vines planted over a mix of limestone rocks in brown clay and marl. It is aged between 6 to 8 months in stainless steel tank before bottling and is known for its longterm ageability. *Biodynamic*
