Reviewed January 2026Jean-Philippe has replanted almost 40% of the vines here recently due to the scourge of the rootstock 161-49B. Whatever the average age is now, this is a resplendent Tesson with textbook Meursault nuttiness, juicy orchard fruits and a lengthy, salted lemon finish. There is a lovely, crunchy texture on the palate with just a wee hint of attractive tannins. Delicious now but with plenty of time to enjoy down the road.

Heavy reduction dominates the nose. Much more interesting are the rich, delicious, succulent and powerful larger-bodied flavors that possess good minerality as well as an abundance of sappy dry extract that serves to buffer the moderately firm acid spine shaping the impressively long finish. This is also a stunningly good Meursault villages and equally highly recommended.*Burghound Outstanding Top Value!*

Le Tesson has not enjoyed the dry years, many dead vines to replace, and coulure in 2024. Mid lemon yellow, a little more flesh than the Chevalières, but perhaps less sheer class. Some muscles to the structure, perhaps even some tannins at the back, with fair persistence. Drink from 2029-2034. Tasted Oct 2025.
