The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Caldwell Vineyard comes from the Coombsville region and a site I’m unfamiliar with. It has an incredible nose of pure crème de cassis, green tobacco, and gravelly earth. This carries to a medium to full-bodied Cabernet with a clean, classically styled vibe on the palate, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It’s another brilliant wine from this team.

A perfumed cabernet sauvignon with aromas of blackberries, dark plums, chili chocolate, praline, grilled herbs and cigar box. Full-bodied with plush tannins. Balanced and vibrant with great tension. So seamless and long. Some espresso and cola notes come through. Delicious already, but better from 2024.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2019 Caldwell Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon rolls up with earthy notes of crushed rocks, truffles, and tilled soil over a core of plums and blackcurrant pastilles. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is wonderfully intense, with minerally accents, profound black fruit layers, and beautifully ripe tannins, finishing long and harmonious. (LPB)
