There are 304 cases of Brion's 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Moon Mountain Vineyard, made by Massimo Monticelli. From the warmer (Sonoma) side of Mount Veeder, it offers up seductive notes of pencil shavings and crushed stones, then moves into black cherries and cassis, with the occasional flourish of dried sage. It's full-bodied and concentrated, yet remains silky, balanced and complex, adding hints of licorice on the lingering finish. Gorgeous stuff. (JC)
