The 2024 Paolo Scavino Langhe Nebbiolo (DOC) is a masterfully polished, elegant, and highly expressive red that beautifully showcases the estate’s talent for marrying modern textural seamlessness with the raw energy of the vintage. Enrico Scavino and his daughters, Enrica and Elisa, craft this serious bottling entirely from estate-owned plots—principally utilizing younger vines from historical crus across Castiglione Falletto, Barolo, and La Morra. Rooted in a complex geological patchwork of tortonian Marne di Sant'Agata and helvetian clay-limestone, the fruit is vinified with the estate’s hallmark focus on precision. Fermented in stainless steel with a carefully monitored maceration of roughly 10 to 12 days to capture pristine primary aromatics, the juice is then aged for approximately 10 to 12 months in neutral French oak casks, giving the wine a perfectly tailored, supportive structural sleeve without masking its native fruit profile.
