Vin Vif (pronounced Vahn Veef) is French for “lively wine.” The 2025 Vin Vif (Union Sacré) Central Coast Albariño is bright lively as it shimmies on the palate. Whole-cluster pressed, it fermented in neutral oak barrels and aged sur lees for 6 months. A smile in a glass, it’s a sheer delight. What a perfect wine to open any dinner or event with because it’s refreshing, freestyle fun. Passionfruit, white peach, jasmine blossoms, and lime zest jive to the beat of a juicy, mouthwatering acidy. Tongue-tingling minerality is electrifying—definitely sequins on this go-go dancer’s hot pants. At 12.5% ABV it’s a great afternoon sipper while listening to Fabienne Delsol.
