Reviewed July 2026Sweet herbal tones mix with nuances of young peach, lemon zest and wet stones as the 2025 Blanc du Puits Sec blossoms in the glass. While silken in feel, this quickly gains tension through a core of zesty acidity and teeth-chattering mineral tones, nicely offset by ripe orchard fruits. It tapers off with a sour-melon note that cleans things up beautifully as a hint of mint lingers. This is a blend of 80% Pinot Gris and 20% Gewurztraminer. (EG)

Founded in 1986 by Russ and Mary Raney, Evesham Wood is a longtime Willamette Valley estate based at the Puits Sec vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills. The 2025 Blanc du Puits Sec brings together Pinot Gris and Gewürztraminer, two varieties with deep historical ties to Alsace, under a Willamette Valley designation.
