Reviewed January 2026Mid purple, a note of coffee torrefaction is sticking out of the red fruit beneath. Not just a question of the glass because it reappears on the palate. Unusual style at the finish though just right at the end some Nuits character emerges. I think the coffee may be somehow an iteration of the stems. Retasted at the end, the fruit has come right up and eaten the coffee. Much livelier red fruit, then the stems which remain quite prominent. Drink from 2030-2037. Tasted Nov 2025.

A pretty and airy nose reflects notes of various crushed red berries, earth and plenty of floral influence. The super-sleek, stony and chiseled flavors possess a lovely texture before culminating in a linger, youthfully austere and balanced finale. This will need to develop better depth to merit the upper end of my range.

Wine Advocate
The sole wine produced this year in Dujac’s négociant range, the 2024 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Cras, unfurls aromas of spice, plum, petals and red berries, leading into a medium-bodied palate that is supple, seamless, vibrant and charming, before concluding with a long, cassis-inflected finish. One of the most inscrutable wines of the tasting, its final form remains somewhat obscured.
Dujac Fils & Père is a distinct label from Domaine Dujac, denoting the négociant range sourced from purchased fruit, while the cuvées themselves are vinified, matured and bottled in the same facility as the domaine wines.
Readers will be familiar with the outlines of Dujac’s contemporary approach to producing red Burgundy in their spacious, temperature-controlled winery in Morey-Saint-Denis: fermentation in stainless steel vats with a predominance of whole clusters and élevage in barrels largely sourced from Tonnellerie Rémond.(KK)
