Reviewed January 2026Mid lemon yellow. As always, the Perrières builds on the qualities of its two predecessors, Charmes and Genevrières. Almost a peachy note indicates a slightly greater degree of ripeness. A lemon tang in the middle then a longer richer finish. Drink from 2030-2036. Tasted Oct 2025.

The 2024 Meursault Perrières 1er Cru has a deep nose with fresh pear and citrus fruit but there is more mineralité coiled up in this cuvée compared to the Les Charmes-Dessus or Genevrières. The palate is very well balanced, fine tension, quite minerally with wet stone and flinty notes emerging towards the penetrating finish. Excellent.(NM)

Note: from a parcel measuring .47 ha. Here too there is a whiff of wood treatment in evidence on the nose of white peach, citrus confit and Granny Smith apple and mineral reduction. The medium weight flavors are not quite as concentrated but they're finer still with both a lovely texture and excellent punch that carries over to the clean, bone-dry and balanced finale that is akin to sucking on a small pebble. I would add that this youthfully austere effort is markedly compact and a wine that's going to need at least moderate patience. This too is excellent.*Burghound Outstanding!*
