Elegant, refined, and discreet, the 2024 Bourgogne Côte d'Or from Michel Bouzereau is astonishingly good for a regional-level wine. It offers aromas of passionfruit and green apple accented with subtle floral notes and a note of spice. The texture is lively and bright, with fresh acidity, moderate body and length. The grapes are from a blend of lieux-dits within Meursault and Puligny, although they lie outside the village-level zone. This will drink well on release but continue to improve for five years or more.(CC)

Note: the Bouzereau holdings have grown to fully 4 ha and the vines are located in both Meursault and Puligny. A fresh, cool and bright nose reflects notes of various white orchard fruit aromas laced with notes of zest and petrol. The attractively textured middle weight flavors retain good delineation that carries over to the long, balanced and nicely complex finale. A quality Bourgogne with the stuffing to repay 2 to 4 years of cellaring if desired.*Burghound Outstanding Top Value!*

Pale lemon yellow. The fruit certainly shows itself as ripe enough on the nose, a bit of candied citrus, medium body with a good thread of acidity. Very typical classical Bourgogne Chardonnay. Drink from 2026-2028. Tasted Oct 2025.

The 2024 Bourgogne Côte d'Or is 60% from Meursault and 40% from Puligny. This has a light but pretty nose with pressed yellow flowers unfolding in the glass. The palate is well balanced with slightly lower acidity than its peers but I appreciate the waxy texture and prickle of spice on the finish. Early drinking.(NM)
