After a meticulous selection of grapes, Rocca di Montegrossi ended up with an overall reduction of 50%. While quantity may have been sacrificed, the estate’s signature pristineness certainly wasn’t. From vanilla top notes, black cherry and grenadine build with perfumed persistence. Sweet spice and lilac are folded in on the plush, layered palate. Quite substantial and concentrated with sturdy tannins to match, there's plenty here for a solid four to five years of drinking. (MM)
