Racked a little earlier than the others., and a proportion now in tank, which they feel suits the extra body and lower acidity of Morgeot compared to Meursault. Plenty of concentration towards the back of the palate, and certainly enough acidity in 2024. The oak shows a little at the finish, but there is easily enough fruit to compensate. Drink from 2029-2034. Tasted Oct 2025.

Burghound

A mildly toasty nose freely reveals its array of rosemary oil, just sliced apple and pear, crushed anise and a hint of citrus confit. The plump but powerful broad-shouldered flavors possess a succulent mid-palate that contrasts mildly with the chewy and borderline rustic finale. This is also impressive in its fashion and a wine that should drink well both young and with 6 to 10 years of cellaring.*Burghound Outstanding!*

Typically one of the first sites that the Germains harvest, the 2024 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot Les Fairendes articulates aromas of juicy pear, freshly baked bread and peach. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied, broad-shouldered and ample, with a rich core of fruit and an enveloping finish. Alongside Le Limozin, it is one of the more youthfully demonstrative wines in the range and is well suited to cool vintages like this.(KK)

Vinous

Review Date: 01/2026
The 2024 Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot Les Fairendes 1er Cru comes from a half-hectare parcel split between 30-year and 60-year-old vines. This has impressive intensity and presence on the nose with dried honey, yellow plum and light waxy aromas. The palate is taut and fresh, resting in a citric line of acidity with lime and lemon zest decorating the finish that feels long in the mouth. Maybe not quite as sophisticated as Germain's best Meursaults but still a lovely wine in the making.(NM)
