The 2024 Bourgogne Aligoté comes from a single parcel in Meursault. It has quite a heavy reduction on the nose at the moment. The palate is weighty, an Aligoté unafraid to be an Aligoté with a texturally satisfying sorbet-fresh finish that lingers in the mouth. Quite enticing.(NM)

A super-fresh, bright and citrus-suffused nose speaks mostly of spice and Granny Smith apple nuances. There is excellent volume to the delicious and very punchy middle weight flavor that deliver impressive length on the clean, dry and balanced finale. This is a first-rate example of the genre.*Burghound Outstanding Top Value!*

One year in wood, racked before the harvest. Lemon and lime with a certain flesh on the nose, plenty of concentration in a fresh lime and greengage style on the palate. Full of energy, and with good length. 12.5% after help. Drink from 2027-2029. Tasted Oct 2025.

Originating from a site in Meursault and matured in barrel, like the rest of the range, Germain's 2024 Bourgogne Aligoté exhibits aromas of sweet citrus, pear, hazelnut and peach mingled with freshly baked bread, followed by a medium-bodied and charming but incisive palate that’s fleshy and textural, with chalky grip on the finish.
The 2024 vintage—harvested at this estate between September 13 and 19—has yielded wines that are chiseled and balanced despite low yields. Working fully organically in a humid, mildew-pressured year such as this resulted in meager production, averaging just 13 hectoliters per hectare for whites, with pH levels slightly lower in the context of preceding, warmer years. At harvest, the wines attained potential alcohols of around 12%, requiring minimal chaptalization.(KK)
