The 2024 Bourgogne Côte d'Or Blanc comes from vines in Meursault and Chassagne, a blend of four and one parcels respectively. Raised for one year in used barrel, racked and then raised mostly in stainless steel vat, the nose is very attractive with pure orchard fruit that blossoms in the glass. The palate is fresh, zesty, beautifully balanced with a bright and minerally finish. Easily Village Cru level.(NM)

Note: from vines in Meursault. A discreet if still easily perceptible application of wood sets off a nose of white orchard fruit and floral nuances where the citrus influence is distinctly less prominent. On the palate there is equally good volume to the textured and vibrant medium weight flavors that deliver excellent depth and persistence on the balanced and crunchy finale. This is also excellent for the genre and warmly recommended.*Burghound Outstanding Top Value!*

Five Meursault plots and one in Chassagne. Racked before the harvest, mostly to tank. Definitely a green tint to the yellow colour. Impressive energy right from the front of the palate, pears and greengages, good acidity. Significant intensity and persistence. Drink from 2027-2029. Tasted Oct 2025.

Originating from parcels in Meursault and Chassagne-Montrachet, with vines averaging 35 years of age, Germain’s 2024 Bourgogne Côte d'Or delivers notes of nashi pear, lemon oil and spring flowers. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and taut, with an incisive spine of acidity and a saline finish. It seems more approachable than their 2021 rendition yet remains, nevertheless, a little austere. The 2024 vintage—harvested at this estate between September 13 and 19—has yielded wines that are chiseled and balanced despite low yields. Working fully organically in a humid, mildew-pressured year such as this resulted in meager production, averaging just 13 hectoliters per hectare for whites, with pH levels slightly lower in the context of preceding, warmer years. At harvest, the wines attained potential alcohols of around 12%, requiring minimal chaptalization.(WK)
