Lots of honey and floral character, with just the right amount of vanilla bean in both the nose and palate. Medium- to full-bodied and fresh with a vivid finish. Fine phenolics are integrated seamlessly into the wine. Long and satisfying at the end. Drink or hold.

Two plots, picked together. Pale lemon yellow. A burst of quite fleshy white fruit on the nose. Picked early as it had hit 13% and acidities were about to start declining. This tastes fully ripe yet with plenty of energy. Waves of fruit comes across the palate. Just the oak is not completely integrated. Drink from 2028-2033. Tasted Oct 2024.

Prominent, hedonistic aromas of spiced nuts and baked apples blow out of the glass. As usual, this is fullish in body with an almost gluttonous, rich texture. The oak is fairly prominent now, but there is ample fruit heft to absorb it in time. Demure acidity delicately balances the wine. This is domaine-owned terroir.

Note: from La Chapelle. There is a touch of matchstick character to the expressive nose that blends notes of petrol, pear, apple and a suggestion of rosemary oil. There is very good volume and mid-palate density to the solidly powerful and tautly muscular flavors that coat the mouth with sappy dry extract that buffers the moderately firm acid spine shaping the compact and sneaky long finish. While fairly tightly wound today, I suspect that this will open relatively quickly and could be enjoyed on the younger side.*Burghound Outstanding!*
