Reviewed June 2023The 2019 Pinot Noir UV Vineyard is impressively pure and complex this vintage. Its blackberry jam aromas mingle with tones of tobacco, laurel leaves, forest floor and violets, seeming to gain aromatic intensity as it spends time in the glass. The palate has a seamless, effortless feel as it moves through the mouth with its concentrated core of berry fruit, and it has a notably persistent finish replete with streaks of lavender and mushroom. The 2019 Pinot Noir UV Vineyard is packed with candied and sun-baked fruit, along with cherry cola, dried mushroom, and forest herbs. The palate is full, with fine tannins that emerge through the finish, as well as cherry pit and mineral-rich earth. Drink 2024-2042. (AF)
