The 2022 Langhe Freisa Kyè is an elegant, polished wine. Dark cherry, plum, gravel, dried flowers, mocha, sage and licorice lend notable complexity. The racy profile is marked by ripe fruit but also a mid-weight structure that resulted from challenges in achieving full ripeness in this vintage. (AG)

The 2022 Langhe Freisa Kye is a deeper red/purple tone, and its nose is deep with notes of dark berries, forest herbs, wildflowers, and sweet earth. The palate is pleasantly rustic in its structure and has a fully dry feel, although it has appealing ripe fruit. Offering a more chewy, brambly texture, good freshness, and a good finish, it’s going to drink well over the next few years. (AF)
