2024 Matthiasson "Linda Vista Vineyard" Napa Valley Chardonnay

Chardonnay grapes were harvested on eight different dates to provide a range of character and balance, and it was fermented with native yeast and barrel-fermented. A bit of that leesy, yeasty character pops up on the nose, alongside chalky, lemony aromas. On the palate, it's zippy and full of honeydew and citrus – not fleshy, but creamy textured and certainly not overly lean. It's a fantastic Chardonnay that drinks even better the second day. (JC)
