Notes
A hot dry year, 1934 is considered one of the decade's best vintages in Bordeaux. From Michael Boradbent: "Deep, intense; with a concentrated singed-raisins nose like the black treacle style of Haut-Brion '28/'29. Both were dry and full-bodied with a leathery texture, in excellent condition but idiosyncratic. The second, upper-sholder, with taste of syrup of figs." (The New Great Vintage Wine Book, Tasted in 1981)
