The 2023 Zinfandel Fredericks Vineyard is a potent, seriously backward wine that is going to need time in bottle to be at its best. That should not be an issue, as the Fredericks ages very well. Black cherry, plum, game, incense, licorice, wild herbs, mocha and lavender all power through. The 2023 is not especially elegant, but it does offer considerable substance. (AG)
