Sourced from a specific 1.2-hectare plot of 69-year-old vines in Cugnoli, this parcel is unique for its distinct limestone soil underlaid by iron-rich clay. Cristiana Tiberio utilizes this site—home to four distinct, unique biotypes of Montepulciano—to make a wine built for serious cellaring. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and given an extended maceration, it is aged for 12 months in a combination of large neutral barriques (strictly for oxygenation, not wood flavor) and stainless steel.
