Reviewed October 2025Like the Bois Chevaux, the pungent nose reveals nothing other than reduction and wood toast. There is slightly better volume to the detailed and beautifully textured medium weight flavors that exude evident minerality on the less austere, balanced and wonderfully long finale. This promising effort is almost always Joblot's best red and that's likely to be the case in 2024.*Burghound Sweet Spot Outstanding!*

The Joblot holding covers 1.90ha in one block. This has the densest colour, very much in full purple mode. The nose too is slightly more brooding. This definitely has its tannins without losing the fruit-acid balance. A darker style of raspberry fruit, well integrated oak (François Frères) and fine length. Drink from 2028-2034. Tasted Sep 2025.
