Well-marked by new oak, this red exhibits blackberry, black currant, blueberry, vanilla, earth and toasty oak aromas and flavors. Impressive, if a little flashy, with a long aftertaste. Best from 2028 through 2036.

Not selected for 1er Cru. A dense and even purple black. Lifted, concentrated raspberry, fresh energy, a peppery touch, not quite as long at the finish as Champ Salomon but an excellent and energetic Marsannay. Drink from 2027-2031. Tasted Dec 2024.

Note: the domaine is one of two owners. A more deeply pitched nose displays notes of plum, black raspberry and pungent forest floor nuances. There is fine volume and excellent intensity to the markedly stony flavors, indeed the mouthfeel is akin to rolling a small pebble around the palate, that culminate in a lingering, chiseled and moderately austere finale. This is going to need at least a few years of keeping to unwind.
