Reviewed September 2025Precise, delicate aromas of black cherries, figs and violets. On the seamless, powerful palate, plush tannins and cleansing acidity drive flavors of blue and red fruits with sweet toasted oak. Drink after 2026. (CH)

Wine Advocate
Matured for 16 months in 54% new French oak, the 2023 Pinot Noir Ferrington Vineyard is pure and layered on the nose: pomegranate, blackberry and lavender are complemented by nuances of lavender, bergamot, forest floor and aniseed. The full-bodied palate is flavorful, silky and bright with perfumed flavors and a long, floral finish. (EB)

Wine Spectator
This red lets a rush of mulberry, boysenberry and blackberry compote flavors tumble through, all laced with lively anise, apple wood and dark tea notes. Splashes of violet and ink add a finishing kick of range and energy. Drink now through 2033. (JM)
Notes
Williams Selyem Winery began as a simple dream between two friends, Ed Selyem and Burt Williams, who pursued weekend winemaking as a hobby in 1979 in a garage in Forestville, California, and made their first commercial vintage in 1981. As friends, they decided to make a go of winemaking together in a two-car garage on River Road. The concrete pad outside held the small dairy tanks that they used as fermenters. The rest is history!
