Note: from Chassagne vines. A more floral-suffused nose is both elegant and quite pure with its aromas of the essence of white orchard fruit, spice, exotic tea and plenty of citrus nuances that are also trimmed in subtle oak wisps. There is both more volume and mid-palate density to the muscular and powerful broad-shouldered flavors that conclude in a strikingly long, if decidedly backward and compact, finish that is beautifully well-balanced. This is an excellent Bâtard but one that is clearly going to require extended keeping if you wish to see it at its peak.
