Reviewed September 2025Wow. So much complexity to this full-bodied white. White peaches, peach tea, lemons, nectarines, rosemary, jasmine tea and wet stones mingle on the nose and palate. So fresh, too, with racy acidity. Less richness than the 2023, with more elegance and purity. Evolves to a wet-stone and seashell minerality in the endless finish. Drink or hold.

The 2024 Riesling Singerriedel Smaragd offers Seville orange on the nose, aromatic, divinely pure, lifted and intensely scented. The palate is ripe, vivid and potent, with latent heat. Concentrated and driven, the body is stony, bold and delivers a striking citrus hit. Incredibly vivid and bold.(AK)

This is a showstopper, with plenty of lushness and concentration. Offers a zesty, expressive mix of dried apricot, preserved tangerine peel and pickled ginger notes dusted in white pepper and salt. Full-bodied and broad, vibrating with energy and orange acidity. A bitter kick of grapefruit peel adds to the freshness; despite its weight, this never feels heavy. Drink now through 2040.—K.B.
